I have many "teacher tricks" up my sleeve! One is to start a Mini Makers class with limited materials. First, I place white homemade play dough on the table with only hand-tools. Later, I add washable markers for kids to draw on top of the play dough. Kids go gaga over this activity!
Markers provide color, become a "new" carving tool, and encourage mark-making (pre-writing skills)!
